The Director of Corporate Strategy is responsible for the company’s overall strategic planning, business development direction, and the design of its long-term growth trajectory. This role serves as a key driver for both strategic research and strategic execution within the organization. By conducting in-depth analyses of industry trends, market opportunities, and the competitive landscape, the incumbent assists senior leadership in formulating development strategies and facilitates the effective implementation of strategic initiatives across various business units.
**Key Responsibilities**
**I. Corporate Strategic Planning**
Assist in formulating the company’s medium-to-long-term development strategies and annual strategic plans;
Research industry trends, the market environment, and the competitive landscape;
Identify new business growth opportunities and strategic directions;
Support corporate strategic decision-making and strategic adjustments.
**II. Strategic Research and Market Analysis**
Conduct industry research, market analysis, and competitor analysis;
Evaluate the feasibility of new business ventures, new markets, and innovative business models;
Provide strategic insights and decision support to the executive team;
Regularly produce strategic analysis reports and recommendations.
**III. Strategic Project Advancement**
Lead and drive the implementation of key corporate strategic projects;
Develop implementation plans and define milestone objectives for strategic projects;
Coordinate cross-departmental resources to facilitate project execution;
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic project execution.
**IV. Business Planning and Investment Assessment**
Support business units in formulating their respective business development plans;
Evaluate opportunities for new business investments and strategic partnerships;
Participate in M&A activities, strategic alliances, and business model design;
Analyze investment returns and long-term value creation.
**V. Strategic Performance and Management Assessment**
Establish mechanisms for evaluating and tracking strategic execution;
Periodically assess the effectiveness of strategic implementation;
Provide recommendations for strategic adjustments;
Support the company’s annual operational planning and budgeting processes.
**VI. Executive Decision Support**
Provide strategic analysis and decision support to the CEO and senior management team;
Assist in preparing materials for Board of Directors meetings and executive strategy sessions;
Provide data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations;
Foster strategic alignment and organizational synergy.
**Qualifications**
**Education**
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field;
An MBA or a background in Strategic Management is preferred.
**Work Experience**
Minimum of 2 years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, or corporate management;
Experience working in a consulting firm, investment institution, or the strategic planning department of a large enterprise is preferred;
Experience participating in corporate strategic planning processes or major business decision-making;
Familiarity with industry analysis methodologies and business model design. Core Competencies
