Payroll & Benefits Coordinator (Temporary, Part-Time)
Location: Hybrid – Milwaukie, OR
Duration: Temporary (6+ months) 

CV Resources is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to hire a Payroll, Benefits & Administrative Specialist on a part-time basis (20-30 hours/week) to support their team. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with standalone payroll and benefits administration experience, as well as a basic accounting background. The organization has 400 employees, and this position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while assisting with benefits administration and general administrative tasks, as well as supporting a payroll migration to a new platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for 400 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, terminations, and annual open enrollment
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and assist with payroll journal entries
• Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving issues promptly
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll and benefits operations
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Assist with HR and administrative support tasks as neededQualifications:
  • 3+ years of standalone payroll and/or accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (paylocity preferred) and payroll tax regulations
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including payroll reconciliations and journal entries
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
