Job Summary
Primary responsibilities of an Accounting Analyst is to assist the Division Controller and Asst Division Controller in analysis and support of the Midwest Division finance area.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for weekly closing of all lines of business systems- Ivend, One Market, One Cup and One Warehouse
- Responsible for analyzing data to assist in correction and working on the over/shorts involved in the business
- Assist with acquisitions by reviewing and managing data and training new associates
- Training new associates and/or assist branches will all lines of business systems
- Engage in the use of financial systems to collect and report data
- Assist in month end close activities
- Complete excel spreadsheet analysis as directed
- Up to 15% travel related to acquisitions, training, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in field of general finance and/or accounting and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general accounting functions
- Advanced experience in Excel (pivot, lookups, and other advanced formulas), ability to pull data together with an eye for formatting/presentation
- Strong communication (written, verbal and presentations) and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
- Exposure/Knowledge of SAP preferred
