Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable Full Time

THE ROLE

The Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable will support the Accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, with a focus on accounts payable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. This role assists with invoice processing, expense management, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end close activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process and post accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform inventory and vendor account reconciliations
• Process, approve, and reconcile employee travel and expense reports through Concur
• Manage vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor master data
• Execute payments including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Research and resolve billing and invoice inquiries with internal and external partners
• Support month-end close procedures through various accounting tasks
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and 1099 reporting
• Support SOX control procedures and compliance requirements
• Prepare periodic sustainability reports (electric and gas usage) for all U.S. locations
• Provide administrative support and assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed
• Proactively identify issues and contribute to problem-solving across accounting processes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
• 1–2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and time management skills
• Exposure to ERP systems; SAP Business One experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to take ownership and support the broader Accounting team as needed
• Experience with payment processing (ACH/wires) and vendor management is a plus

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

• Competitive compensation. Salary Range is $66,300 – $70,000 + target bonus. Please note that compensation will be offered based on relevant skills and experience
