Duties

• Diagnose and repair small engine equipment such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, and other small engines using schematics and technical manuals
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, spark plug replacements, blade sharpening, and fuel system servicing
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components on small engines with a focus on diesel engines when applicable
• Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify issues and implement effective repair solutions
• Conduct quality inspections post-repair to ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards
• Maintain detailed written service records and communicate repair status clearly to customers or team members
• Work well as a team player.

Experience

• Proven dealership experience or service technician background working with small engines or automotive background.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, equipment repair, 2 cycle repair, and some diesel engine systems
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems is a must.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, computers, and diagnostic procedures for complex machinery
• Experience working with transmissions is helpful.
• Previous experience in electrical is highly desirable

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
