The Charge Nurse, under the direction the Unit Director/Manager is responsible for scheduling employees and coordinating patient flow and room turnover, overseeing supply and equipment management, coordinating training and orientation of new personnel, assisting in staff development, monitoring the departmental environment to ensure safe patient care and to evaluate and discipline employees and/or make effective recommendations regarding the same.

Leadership skills, Should attend hospital training programs including: Leadership Institute courses, Specialty certification preferred.
2-5 years prior experience in a perioperative hospital setting required.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
