Experience:
12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.
Experience with Epic is required.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
This role may require floating to additional units and locations
Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience: – Teaching hospital experience required. – First-time travelers accepted; teaching hospital experience is required.
Special Requests: – RTO is not allowed during March 14 – March 21, 2026; May 8 – May 11, 2026; May 21 – May 27, 2026; and June 28 – July 9, 2026. Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions.
Unit Details: – Adult surgical oncology patient population. – Majority of procedures and diagnoses are related to the abdomen or pelvic area, including gynecologic oncology, urology oncology, colorectal, pancreatic, liver, and stomach cases. – Primarily cares for patients with known cancer diagnoses recovering post-operatively from surgical interventions needed to manage their disease process or complications; nursing care focuses on post-op milestones for discharge. – No chemotherapy or biotherapy is administered on this unit; chemo certification is not needed to apply. – Educational resources are provided to support procedure-specific precautions. – Ratios are 1:6 and may flex up based on staffing and unit needs. Additional support is provided, and candidates must be comfortable with flexible staffing ratios.
Shift & Scheduling: – 10 RTO days max approved. – Rotating day/night shifts: 07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30. – Every other weekend. – 12-14 weekend shifts per contract. – No on-call.
Floating Requirements: – Floating as required and may float to sister facilities based on facility needs.
