Duties

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on clinical indications and patient needs.
• Ensure all imaging procedures comply with safety standards, including radiation safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Assist in diagnostic evaluation by analyzing images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them for interpretation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records.
• Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills.
• Support emergency room staff by providing rapid imaging services during urgent care situations and trauma cases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients for various imaging modalities.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to radiology and diagnostic evaluation processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in aseptic technique and infection control practices within clinical settings.
• Experience working in emergency medicine environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of radiation safety standards and protective measures for patients and staff.
• Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment reliably while maintaining high standards of image quality.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
