Our client is seeking a highly experienced innovation leader to shape and drive their future
growth across both core product lines and adjacent wellness categories. This is a senior
leadership role responsible for building a clear innovation pipeline, partnering closely with
Product Development (in-house) and cross-functional leaders, and ensuring innovations
are rooted in consumer insight, brand strategy, feasibility, and speed-to-market.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise innovation strategy and long-range roadmap across devices and
adjacent wellness care, including consumables.
• Develop and manage a prioritized pipeline from concept through
commercialization, with clear business cases, timelines, and decision points.
• Partner with the in-house Product Development team to translate innovation
concepts into feasible, differentiated products and experiences.
• Bring deep consumer and category insight, especially around women’s wellness, to
identify whitespace opportunities and guide concept development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Ecommerce, Operations, and Finance
teams to ensure innovations are market-ready and supported end-to-end.
• Evaluate partnerships, vendors, and potential external innovation resources to
accelerate development where appropriate.
• Establish innovation processes and metrics (e.g., stage-gate where helpful; rapid
test-and-learn) to improve speed and quality of decision making.
• Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends/technologies; translate
insights into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in innovation, product innovation, or product strategy,
ideally spanning both hardware/devices and CPG/consumables.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of launching successful new
products.
• Strong cross-functional leadership experience and the ability to influence without
authority in a lean organization.
• Experience building innovation roadmaps and pipelines, including consumer
insight, concept development, and commercialization planning.
• Category experience in wellness, women’s health, beauty tools, or adjacent spaces
strongly preferred.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity with a builder mindset; able to balance creativity
with disciplined execution.Compensation
The expected base salary range for this role is $190,000-$220,000. Final compensation will
be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and geographic location, and
may include bonus where applicable.
Location / Working Model
Must be based in Greater Boston or willing to relocate; in-person collaboration is an
important part of this role.
