Director of PMO (Founding Fractional Role – Company & Foundation) 

Reports To: Chief People Officer 

Hours: 5-10 hours per week to start 

Compensation: Equity-based founding role (no cash compensation or benefits during pre-revenue phase) 

Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based)

The Director of PMO joins us in the earliest stage of shaping how work flows, how teams align, and how ideas evolve into impact. This role is meant for someone who enjoys building structure, leading people, and helping others thrive in a growing and creative environment. 

The Role 

We are looking for a calm, thoughtful leader who can guide people and processes with clarity, kindness, and steady direction. The Director of PMO will help us establish a strong operational backbone while honoring the creativity and humanity at the center of our work. 

You will collaborate closely with teams across operations, creative, product development, leadership, the Foundation, and sales. You will help organize efforts, bring visibility to what matters most, and ensure that progress feels fluid, intentional, and supported. 

Your team will grow as we scale. including program managers, project managers, and project coordinators/admins. You will help them navigate priorities and communicate with kindness. 

This is a founding role, which means you will help shape systems and rhythms as we grow. You do not need every answer on day one. Curiosity, compassion, clear communication, and follow-through matter far more than having done it all before.

Team Leadership and Development 

• Support, coach, and guide your team.

Cross-Functional Coordination 

• Connect teams across both entities and help ensure information, decisions, and timelines flow smoothly. 
• Facilitate planning conversations and help teams clarify goals, expectations, and actionable steps. 
• Collaborate closely with leadership, creative teams, operations, sales, and Foundation program partners. 

Project and Program Alignment 

• Help build healthy rhythms for planning, reviewing progress, and communicating updates. 
• Support teams in prioritizing work and balancing creative exploration with operational structure. 
• Offer clarity and context so teams understand where their work fits in the bigger picture. 

System and Process Development 

• Develop simple, adaptable systems that help teams stay organized and connected. 
• Create templates, guides, and tools that bring ease and consistency to project work. 
• Refine processes as we grow and evolve, staying flexible and responsive to feedback.
