As a CDL A Trainer, you will leverage your extensive driving expertise and teaching skills to guide aspiring drivers through comprehensive training programs. Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training to new and experienced CDL A students, focusing on safe driving practices and industry regulations
• Conduct classroom instruction on topics such as air brake systems, tanker operations, and tractor-trailer handling
• Evaluate trainee performance through practical driving assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement
• Maintain detailed training records, progress reports, and compliance documentation for each student
• Ensure all training activities adhere to federal and state safety standards and company policies
• Foster a positive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential
• Assist with onboarding new trainees by explaining program expectations and training schedules

Experience

• Proven commercial driving experience with a valid CDL A license, including expertise in air brake systems, tanker operations, and tractor-trailer maneuvering
• Prior classroom or adult education experience, demonstrating strong teaching or mentoring skills
• Knowledge of trucking industry regulations and safety protocols
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively
• Experience with truck driving techniques specific to tractor-trailers and heavy-duty vehicles
• Familiarity with teaching methodologies related to adult education and hands-on training environments
