Performance and Sport Physical Therapist Assistant

Optimize Physical Therapy and Sports Performance is looking to change the game when it comes to caring for youth athletes, elite athletes and active adults in the greater Jacksonville area by when it comes to performance and sport physical therapy.

At Optimize, we are focused on putting the client at the forefront to maximize their outcomes first and foremost. To do this, we offer only 1-on-1 sessions for physical therapy to allow all focus to be on one at a time and ensure all their needs are met immediately. There is no denying that individualized treatment is the way to maximize patient outcomes, especially when it comes to active and sport populations. Whatever gets the best results, that is what we will continue to do.

We are looking for a high energy clinician with a growth mindset that desires to be a part of a growth oriented team focused on how to continue to improve and maintain an elite level of care.

What Does This Position Look Like?:

• The physical therapist assistant is expected to appropriately complete the job requirements standard to physical therapy practice (e.g. treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic post-op care, correct and timely documentation, appropriately preparing for sessions, effective exercise prescription, and creation of home programs for clients).
• The ability to complete manual therapies (e.g. sport massage techniques, joint mobilizations, IASTM, and cupping) to enhance patient outcomes.
• Completion of sport performance sessions focused on developing individualized programs to improve strength, conditioning, and speed in a 1-on-1 or small group setting.
• Completion of marketing events as needed at agreed upon dates and times.
• Due to our specialty in sport care, we see athletes in all sports and also treat many who are active adults or those wanting to commit to a changed lifestyle and need our help to get there.
• We are committed to continued growth with a focus on continuing to learn and provide our clients with the best care currently available. Due to this, we will provide a mentorship program from a clinician that has worked with all levels of athletes from pro to youth along with determining continuing education opportunities.

A big part of our vision is instead of working them into the ground we create an environment where clinicians can thrive. If our clinicians thrive, then the care will be elite. If the care is elite, our clients will get optimal results quickly.
