Our client manages over $3.5bn in assets under management, with portfolio companies advancing innovation across oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, neurology, and a broad set of technologies spanning the care continuum.
The fund is hiring an investment professional to support research and development focused affiliates that identify, support, and fund early stage science. These affiliates work closely with academic founders and entrepreneurs to translate discoveries from the lab into new companies that are primed for seed stage investment by the fund. In parallel, this hire will play an active role on the core investment team, evaluating and investing in SMID cap public biotech companies. The strategy is long only, highly concentrated, and driven by deep scientific conviction.
The role spans both pre clinical and clinical diligence. The individual may diligence early discovery platforms as well as Phase 1 clinical assets, assess whether an asset is viable from both a scientific and commercial perspective, evaluate indication level attractiveness and valuation, and build basic financial models to support investment decisions.
The investment team consists of 8 professionals operating within a flat, highly collaborative structure. Investment decisions are made as a group, with input valued equally regardless of seniority or functional background.
The fund operates remotely, with flexibility to work from any city, provided the individual is comfortable working east coast hours.
