Journeyman Electrician
Coalmont Electrical Development is seeking a Journeyman Electrician based out of our McCalla, Alabama facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team installing and maintaining electrical systems in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial wiring, conduit, and control systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment in support of demanding manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of the NEC and industrial safety practices, as well as proficiency with the tools used in the trade.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Install, repair, maintain, and test industrial electrical systems in strict accordance with all applicable codes.
· Test electrical systems and control circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and meggers.
· Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire, cable, conduit, and other raceway systems based on job specifications.
· Read and interpret electrical single-line and schematic drawings.
· Pull and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution panels, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches.
· Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
· Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
· Redline drawings documenting the location of wiring and electrical systems to be used for as-built drawings.
· Assist with training and direction of helpers and apprentices on the crew.
· Utilize hand benders and one-shot conduit benders.
· Communicate effectively with the Foreman and crew members to maintain workflow and meet productivity objectives.
· Report on site daily to the Foreman or Project Manager.
· Adhere to all Coalmont safety policies and procedures, and perform other tasks or projects as assigned.
· Supervise crews of up to 4 people.
· Order material from drawings.
Duration: Full Time
Education, experience, and skills required for the position:
· Current Journeyman license preferred.
· Ability to install power, lighting, fire protection, security, and data systems, and to build, install, and maintain control panels.
· Experience reading electrical single-line blueprints and finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
· Ability to travel out of state for 2 consecutive weeks.
· Travel up to 70% of the year.
· Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
