Field Survey Crew Chief or Rodman
Are you a motivated and “reach new heights” type of surveyor? If so, we would love to have you on our team as a Field Survey Crew Chief or crew member.
The Opportunity
Dominion Engineering is seeking people for two positions. A Field Survey Crew Chief and a crew member to assist a crew chief.
The crew chief position needs to have a minimum of two years experience as a crew chief.
The crew member position does not require experience but pay will be determined accordingly.
Responsibilities
As a Field Survey Crew Chief, the responsibilities are diverse and will include the following:
-Work with design teams on all aspects of projects, including project initialization, topo and boundary surveys, field project survey organization, and construction staking after design has been approved.
-Survey ALTA’s for commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential development.
-Topographic surveys for design engineers, field survey utilities, and other ground information for design evaluation. Find and survey monuments both in municipalities and mountain sections.
-Prepare downloads of field information, work with PLS’s in office on field observations and information.
-Perform construction staking, as-built surveying, and review of as-built plans, when in the field observing conditions, and during construction staking observing work in progress. Keeping daily journals of work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
-1 year experience as a Field Survey Crew Chief
-Familiar with Trimble equipment and the Trimble Business Center office program
