I. Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Operations is responsible for the company’s overall strategic planning and execution, ensuring the realization of corporate strategic objectives. This role drives organizational efficiency by optimizing operational processes and resource allocation. The position requires a deep, holistic understanding of the company’s business landscape, as well as strong cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
II. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Management
Participate in the formulation of the company’s medium-to-long-term strategic plans and oversee their execution progress.
Analyze industry trends, market shifts, and competitive landscapes to provide decision support for corporate strategic adjustments.
Identify business growth opportunities and potential risks, proposing viable strategic solutions.
Operational Optimization & Management
Establish and refine core operational processes and management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor and analyze key operational metrics (KPIs/OKRs) to drive performance improvement.
Coordinate resources across various departments to ensure strategic projects are implemented on schedule and achieve intended outcomes.
Project Management & Execution
Lead the planning and implementation of major strategic initiatives or organizational change projects.
Manage cross-functional project teams to ensure efficient project advancement.
Synthesize project progress and results, providing decision-support reports to senior management.
Team Leadership & Development
Build a high-performing Strategic Operations team and cultivate talent for key positions.
Champion organizational culture initiatives to enhance team collaboration and execution capabilities.
Data Analysis & Decision Support
Leverage data analytics to support strategic decision-making and business optimization.
Provide periodic operational, market, and financial analysis reports to facilitate corporate strategic adjustments.
III. Job Requirements
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree or higher; a major in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field is preferred. An MBA or a degree from a renowned international institution is a plus.
Work Experience
20+ years of professional experience in corporate strategy, operations management, or consulting, including at least 5 years in a management role.
Prior experience working in fast-growing enterprises or multinational corporations is preferred.
