Packaging Lead – pFriem Family Brewers Full Time NEW

About The Role

You will lead daily operations of canning, kegging, bottling, and labeling equipment. You are a crucial part of the production process and will be expected to work well within the production operations teams to maintain the high quality of pFriem beer throughout the packaging process.

This role is on second shift: Tuesday – Friday, 12pm – 10pm.

Critical Responsibilities

• Lead and train packaging specialists and operators.
• Lead operations on the canning, kegging, and bottling equipment at the Hood River (=80% of time) and Cascade Locks facilities (=20% of time).
• Measure dissolved gasses and package physical characteristics using a variety of instruments. Respond to quality deviations in real time by adjusting operating parameters and troubleshooting equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes independently and alongside maintenance and/or production management.
• Contribute to process improvement projects.
• Adhere to, enforce, audit, and write SOPs, checklists, and troubleshooting guides.
• Enter production data into our ERP platform.
• Perform weekly inventory counts for materials on hand to inform transfers from warehouse.
• Cleaning and general facilities upkeep.
• Work a 4x10h schedule, second shift: Tu-Fri; 12:00pm-10:00pm.
• Safely operate a stand-up electric forklift and willingness to be certified within 30 days.
• Work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety protocols.

Your Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in food and beverage production.
• Proficiency with MS office, Google suite, and basic computer skills.
• Comprehend and remember standard operating procedures.
• Be on time for all shifts, ready to work, with a clear head.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely and push or pull up to 165 lbs.
• Access to a smart phone.
• Licensed to drive and access to reliable transportation.
• Solid references are a must.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
