Pinboard HR is thoughtfully conducting a search for a Vice President of Marketing on behalf of an established and rapidly growing haircare brand with national retail distribution across Target, Ulta Beauty, Nordstrom, and additional major partners.

This executive leader will be responsible for shaping and executing the brand’s overall marketing vision, driving consumer engagement, accelerating brand growth, and leading integrated marketing strategies across retail, digital, influencer, PR, and brand channels.

Role Description

The Vice President of Marketing will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing initiatives that elevate brand awareness, deepen customer loyalty, and support continued retail expansion. This individual will lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team while collaborating cross-functionally with executive leadership, sales, product development, and creative teams.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Studio City, California, with flexibility for remote work a few days per week after onboarding and team integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a high-impact, omnichannel marketing strategy aligned with brand growth goals
• Lead brand positioning, storytelling, and go-to-market initiatives across retail and digital platforms
• Drive consumer acquisition, retention, and engagement through innovative campaigns and performance marketing
• Oversee influencer partnerships, PR strategy, social media, content marketing, and brand collaborations
• Partner with retail accounts and sales teams to support in-store marketing and merchandising initiatives
• Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
• Manage marketing budgets, forecasting, KPIs, and campaign performance metrics
• Build, mentor, and scale a best-in-class marketing team and external agency partnerships

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience within the beauty, haircare, skincare, or consumer lifestyle space
• Proven success building and scaling high-growth beauty or haircare brands
• Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing, including retail, e-commerce, digital advertising, influencer marketing, and social strategy
• Experience managing partnerships with major national retailers such as Target, Ulta Beauty, Sephora, Nordstrom, or similar
• Demonstrated expertise in brand development, consumer marketing, and product launch strategy
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic action
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred
