Responsibilities:
– Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
– Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess their condition after surgery
– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
– Assist with patient recovery and ensure their comfort and safety
– Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans
– Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions
– Document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Skills:
– Experience in acute care settings, preferably in a PACU or similar environment
– Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring
– Knowledge of post-operative care protocols and pain management techniques
– Ability to administer medications, including injections, as ordered by the physician
– Familiarity with various medical procedures such as gastric lavage and dermal fillers
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
– Experience in health coaching and providing education to patients on self-care practices
